Project Overviewx

The Picton Sewerage Upgrade involved upgrading the existing trunk sewer network between Waikawa and the Picton Sewerage Treatment Plant and all associated works. Stages 2-3 involved installation of at least 3 new pump stations, along with the demolition of the existing pump stations and replacement of the pressure mains and gravity trunk sewers, totalling approximately 3.75km in length. Tru-Line Civil feels proud to have been involved with increasing Picton’s sewer network capacity for the future and working alongside the Marlborough District Council.

Specialist Work Required: Butt welding all HDPE Pipe, Trench de-watering, Approx. 1.1km of the Picton job proceeded through a reserve paddock which brought numerous obstacles including soft ground, natural watercourses, walking tracks and vegetation which had to be removed. During this paddock section there were many environmentally sensitive areas which were identified by Tru-Line and careful methodologies were produced and followed to insure no disturbance or damage occurred.
